Nigerian strike

It is surprising that oil prices are going up even though they are a major producer. The question you have to ask is why the local, national and international oil producers in the area are not trying to appease the situation by providing cheap fuel for the locals?

Hopefully this strike will send the right message to the government and force them to negotiate tougher contracts with the producers to ensure good prices for the fuel increased revenue and a happier public.

Strike is the only language that African leaders can understand. In Guinea, strike led to Lansana Kouyateh coming in as Prime minister and other positive changes for the poor and in Liberia, the 1979 rice riot brought about reduction in the price of rice.
