Bug

William Friedkin is back to the big screen with a horror morality tale that itches with cinematic gore and the beautiful Ashley Judd. bug movie, a film about a group of people in a motel who become paranoid of bugs crawling in their skin. Yum. Starring Ashley Judd, Michael Shannon, Lynn Collins, Brian O'Byrne and Harry Connick, Jr.

The director of "The Exorcist" and "The French Connection" comes with his latest product, actually a filmed look at a successful off-Broadway play, but this psychological thriller, a genre-bender with elements of horror, sci-fi, screaming, earthquakes, paranoia, schizophrenia, government experimentation, and desperation–all within 101 minutes and all virtually within the confines of a single room–will probably be the most imaginative movie this year.

The following are the movie’s posters. The first shows “a bug”. A dark monstrosity artificially made by the government in a secret experiment. If you like sci-fi/ horror movies you can imagine a bug like this in your body making real horrendous fantasies. Take a look on those ugly legs and hairy body of the malignant bugs. But I don't know why is a woman inside the bug in the poster? maybe she will represent the obstacle against bugs.

This other shows the beautiful woman of the movie. I don’t believe in women’s pictures (Lot of tricks) but Ashley Judd has those sexy slips and big eyes that can make me mad. I don’t know why producers ever mix horror films with beautiful ladies. Maybe, to raise our blood tension as we imagine that beautiful face being threatening by those bugs. (you can click in the posters to see the movie trailer)

bug movie becomes essentially a two-character piece which is given cinematic life by imaginative earthquakes, by the loud rumblings of choppers, presumably government agents searching for Peter who has allegedly been the victim of dastardly government medical experiments, and by clever close-ups by cameraman Michael Grady of Peter's body which increasingly shows the bloody work of hundreds of insects. When Agnes's body becomes covered with blood as well, we wonder whether Peter is telling the truth as well: that bugs have taken refuge within his torso and have migrated into that of his hostess, or whether some diabolical masochistic rites are at work. Definitely bug movie is the horror film to look this month, is the same director of "The Exorcist", he knows how to cause fear (May, 25). Click here to see the trailer.
