Australian PM is seeking a fifth term in office

Mr Howard is seeking a fifth term in office but analysts are predicting a heavy defeat for the veteran PM after 11 years in power. He is trailing far behind his Labor opponent Kevin Rudd after nine months of dismal polls. Many countries in the world constitutionally forbid anyone become the head of the state more than twice. For Mr. Howard it would be his fifth time to attempt to become the PM of Australia. Such practices have been found to make a fellow lust for power forever and thus there can be fear of declaration of monarchy on his or her part.
