The New 7 Wonders of the World. An unfair competition

This was an unfair competition and just a big business for the creators. There was no control of how many votes were submitted by each person (that means millions of Chinese voting several times for the Great Wall, Peruvians voting for Machu Picchu, etc). A better example of the failure in the voting system was the election of the Corcovado's Christ in Brazil (a modern construction of the XX century). How can be that statue more "marvelous" than Stonehenge or the giant statues of Eastern Island (both almost 2000 years old)... some of the giant statues of Eastern Island are 300 tons of weight. In all the countries people was able to vote sending paid messages from cellular phones.
